Hi, everyone! I'm here today to talk about a very special language learning book: Minna no Nihongo. This is a collection of all the lessons and exercises from the original "Minna no Nihongo" textbook series combined with an audio CD and CD-ROM for practicing pronunciation and kanji. It's really useful for beginners that want to learn Japanese as quickly as possible. You can find it online or in bookstores such as Kinokuniya, albeit with varying prices between around $30-60USD depending on where you get it from. But today, I'm here to tell you about the book I suggest to you, the 2nd edition of "Minna no Nihongo". This version contains over 20% more vocab words... but with a major change to the presentation. This second edition is the revised version of the original book by Kanae Kondō. As it turns out, he had some issues with his original textbook, which was published by Kinokuniya. The problems included an incorrect vocabulary count in some lessons and mistakes with grammar syntax in some chapters. So with this revision, he corrected these errors. Now, the book still has the same "mini-lesson" format that I praised in my first comparison article to this book. Each lesson covers a new topic such as numbers, greetings and food. And then you proceed to learn all about it with lots of exercises to review and test yourself on. But what's different about this version compared to the first one? Well, there is one major difference: It now comes with an audio CD and a CD-ROM for practicing pronunciation and kanji! This is really hard to find elsewhere, especially in online stores. So this is something that I recommend buying if you can get your hands on one (and if not, get it from Kinokuniya). So how does this compare to some other textbooks? Well, the new content is 20% of the total size of this book! So it's really more than 20% of the book's content. Just to get your attention, I'll be doing an in-depth comparison with some other Japanese textbooks that I find easier to use compared to "Minna no Nihongo". Even though this book requires very little effort since you can learn so many vocab words in each lesson, it's still more efficient than other books. And if you don't mind spending $20 for this textbook, then all I can say is that it will be worth it! Let's go through my comparison table now. Author: Tōru Isaka Publisher: Kinokuniya (2018) Pages: 192 pages (used with CD and CD-ROM) Language: Japanese Format: mini-lessons + audio CD and CD-ROM; new edition has audio not included in the first edition. cfa1e77820
